So we did had a family day which was absolutely fantastic.
my father, mother were much interested to see the new campus.
we started a bit late from home as usual at around 11 am and reached office by 11:30am.
Unfortunately, as we got late, i had no option but to avoid the traffic on old madras road and so had to take the pathetic road from mahadevpura. believe me this mud road is a true roller coster of sorts.
The first thing we did, was showed my cubicle to parents.
Then had coffee from e-cafe. Then showed the cubicle of my section manager which we had decorated the earlier day. The theme was a cricket ground.
As you might have guessed, the ground was not that picture perfect. actually the earlier day me and my colleagues were visiting nearby wings to check out the cubicle decorations. seeing this, we got inspired and decided to decorate our cubicles. but being lazy , we finally decided to decorate only one cubicle. so we started by around 2 pm and worked on the idea of ground till 12 at night. so u could imagine the quality of work :)
ok so lets get back to family day.
after seeing cubicles, we went along the whole floor to check out other cubicle decorations. had lunch at around 1pm. the veg section had never ending queue, which made me wonder why people insist so heavily on veg food. anyways had biryani which was the best in its bussiness.
then again the idea of enhancing the GUI of cubicle struck to my colleagues.
so then skipped the musical program and tried hard to decorate cubicle with stars and hanging balloons, but in vein.
finally my wife ringed me informing that the prize distribution for best cubicle decoration has been started. but heck, we were never competing for prize!
then finally we all went to the show and witnessed some beautiful skits.
Finally there was the magical show. To be frank, initially i thought it was only for kids. somehow i enjoyed the simple tricks!
the prizes were announced and we got consolation prize with everyone.
lastly we enjoyed sitting on lawn and having choco-bars and then returned to home..sweet home..
