Bengaluru Again!

Moved to Bengaluru from Pune in  July. Its was a tough situation to travel in this covid19 pandemic. Fortunately we moved with ease. We stayed in Pune for close to 10 years and made several friends. Hopefully I should be able to keep in touch with them. At the same time, looking forward to meet my pals here!

Flowers to the rescue

Every day, the one thing that helps me to completely relax and switch off the insane work schedule is the early morning gardening task! Its so damn easy to get beautiful flowers. They just need some water and sunlight. Must confess that I never thought this task would become so dear to me!

I am back!

I am going to start writing again as mush as possible. Everyday there are tens of things in my mind which would help others as well as me. So lets gear up and start discussing!

My Startup - The beginning

Background The idea struck way back in 2007 when I was playing for IMM team in Bangalore. This group used to organize regular matches and an annual tournament with rival group BTM. We used to have high drama even for the local weekend matches. Surprisingly there was no way to publish results on any cricketing site. So I pushed the scorecard and match details on wordpress blog. Here is the link to the older blog: Marathi Cricket blog From then on, me and prashant - who was also teammate at IMM, always discussed on how to setup such a website on our own. But then I moved to pune and things got slowed down due to lack of time. We were always in touch and the idea to start was still in our heads. Meantime, I was looking at different db schemas and tried to come with one on my own. For almost 3 years, we were not sure how to go for this startup. So we tried our hands with joomla. And once we saw that we can build our own custom module like the way we wanted it, we became s

On Road Encounters

In pune, there is never a dull moment when one is driving. Everyday, it somehow happens that i get into close shave! I am planning to post all such incidents here. So buckle up, put on ur helmets for this joy-ride, hoping that there wont be any road incident that i wont be able to write down later :) Friday, Jan 7, 2011: we planned to go to baner around 8pm. so started early for office as had to come back home by 7-7:30 pm. The ride to office was again free of any major troubles. Returned home in evening without any major findings. We started around 8:30pm for baner. Took the swargate-tilak road-university-baner route. There was quite traffic till swargate, as usual. There was a jam near durvankur on tilak road. There are basically non-operating signals on this busy cross-road and bikers zip through fast between cars. Was standstill with 2-3 cars ahead of mine. unfortunately, i couldnt see a biker facing me coming from durvankur. he too stopped dead next to my a-pilla

First Goa Trip!

After a very long time, we decided to visit goa. The rainy season didnt hinder us and we were all set to go. Booked the dona sylvia resort for a stay of 3 nights and 4 days. This resort in mobor-margoa in south goa. Opted for 2nd-5th July as I had optional holiday on 5th july. We planned to take the pune-kolhapur-nipani-amboli-sawantwadi-panji-margao route. Pre-week situation: Our trustworthy 2 year old wagonR was running into lot of deep water. Had AC failure, non-functioning horn, frequent typre punctures and wipers out of shape. We did try the local MASS in baner, but it was of no good.  All these issues had to be sorted out before the travel. So was looking out for some MASS on par with Bimal of bangalore. One of my relative suggested the chougule MASS near katraj.  Dropped the car on tuesday and got it on back in wednesday with all the problems rectified. Went there personally to check the service center and it turned out to be very good. Now my wife, manisha informed that she
